Transforming Schools: Meeting the Needs of All Learners
A two-day convening to support schools with the implementation of the requirements of the Mississippi Succeeds Plan. The convening is designed for districts with schools identified as Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI), Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI), Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI), and Schools At Risk (SAR). The convening provides districts and school leaders with guidance around the school improvement process.

Leading for Transformation
A 1.5-day “Mini-Conference” for all CSI (Comprehensive Support and Improvement) School Leadership Teams of identified. District team participants engaged in sessions on communicating change in schools, equitable practices, leveraging resources, a trauma in educational settings, High-Quality Instructional Materials, and more.

Turning the Ship Around: A Focus on Equity
A two-day institute focusing on equipping school and district leaders (Principal, Assistant Principal(s), SIG Officer, and the District Transformation Officer) with the necessary tools to build an effective organization by creating a culture of “giving control” and creating leaders. In addition, participants were provided with a model for promoting educational equity and cultural proficiency for individual transformation and organizational change.

November 7-9, 2018
i3 Innovate, Inspire, Ignite: The Measure of a Leader
On November 7, 2018, the pre-conference was opened to high schools identified as Comprehensive and Targeted Support and Improvement Schools, Additional Targeted Support and Improvement Schools, and Schools At-Risk (SAR). High school district teams engaged in activities with Dr. Robert Balfanz, Director of the Everyone Graduates Center at Johns Hopkins University and visited innovative programs offered by the Vicksburg-Warren School District.
The general conference convened on November 8-9, 2018 and represented identified schools. District team participants engaged in sessions on school improvement for change, high school redesign, school equity, leveraging resources, best practices for chronic absenteeism, and more.
