The Department of Mathematics, within the Office of Curriculum and Instruction, is responsible for supporting and training mathematics teachers, curriculum specialists, administrators, and parents by providing the most up-to-date information, professional learning, and resources necessary to implement the 2025 Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards (MS CCRS) for Mathematics, grades K–12. In addition, the Department promotes the use of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) that align with the MS-CCRS for mathematics to ensure all students have access to rigorous, evidence-based mathematics instruction that supports deep conceptual understanding and equitable learning outcomes.
