JACKSON, Miss – The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) today launched its redesigned website, which can be found at the same address, www.mdek12.org.
The new site includes updated features including:
- mobile-friendly, responsive design that adapts to the screen size of mobile devices
- social sharing links to share information directly from webpages
- accessibility and language translator tools
- webpage feedback forms to help continuously improve the site
The MDE surveyed and conducted focus groups with stakeholders to help inform the new layout, and then worked with Mississippi Interactive to redesign the site. Also, the MDE is currently developing an online report card tool that will include the accountability measures used to determine school and district letter grades. The online report card will be available with the release of the 2017-18 school year letter grades this fall.
