Special-Called Teleconference Meeting

About: A special-called teleconference meeting of the Mississippi Board of Education will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. The purpose of the meeting is to get approval to proceed with emergency procurements for the ESSER funds, ARP funds, and MSIS 2.0 state funds for the delivery of critical systems and supports to local school districts in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and for these emergency contracts to be for a period longer than one year. Also, grant authority for the State Superintendent of Education to send a Determination to Make Emergency Procurement to the Public Procurement Review Board (PPRB) pursuant to 3-207.1 of the PPRB OPSCR Rules and Regulations and also request approval for the term of such emergency contracts to be for a period longer than one year

The public is invited to attend via livestream only. The Mississippi Board of Education is taking this step to limit public contact due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
