Mississippi Connects: Digital Teacher Academy

We are excited to announce the 2023-2024 Digital Teacher Academy, the newest program from Mississippi Connects initiative! This year-long professional development opportunity is designed to support classroom teachers as they implement digital instructional practices in their classrooms and become technology leaders in their schools.  

Benefits of participating:

  • Receive digital learning training, support, and resources
  • Earn digital certifications and badges for various digital tools
  • Earn 3.2 CEUs, paid for by the program
  • Receive a Mississippi Connects Digital Teacher Academy badge and banner to proudly share your accomplishments
  • Receive a $50 travel stipend for attending each in-person meeting

Requirements:

  • Be a full-time teacher in Mississippi's public schools (a teacher is defined as a regular classroom teacher who spends 100% of his/her time in Pre-kindergarten-12th grade classrooms working with students).
  • Submit Approval to Participate form signed by your administrator.
  • Attend and fully participate in all sessions:
    • September 18, 2023 (in-person) from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • October 23, 2023 (virtual) from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • November 6, 2023 (in-person) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • January 22, 2024 (virtual) from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • March 4, 2024 (in-person) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • April 22, 2024 (virtual) from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • June 3, 2024 (in-person) from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Earn digital tool certifications and badges (at your own pace throughout the year). 

Registration is closed for the 23-24 school year.
