Mississippi Connects: Digital Learning Coaches

As a part of the Mississippi Connects initiative, the Digital Learning Coach (DLC) program provides individualized supports to administrators and teachers as they adapt to the challenges of digital learning and use educational technology to improve student outcomes. Schools that participate in DLC program will receive the following supports during the 2022-2023 school year, at no cost to schools or districts:

Cohort Coaching Supports

Digital Learning Coach (DLC) program staff will work with school leadership to select a cohort of 6-8 teachers to receive individualized coaching supports. Cohort members will receive the following weekly supports  from their DLC for the entirety of the school year:

  • Classroom Observations
  • Coaching Conferences
  • Collaborative Lesson Planning 
  • Modeling and Co-teaching

Schoolwide Coaching Supports

DLC program staff will work with school leadership to provide the following schoolwide digital learning supports: 

  • Digital Learning Action Planning
  • Professional Development
  • Professional Learning Communities

2022-23 DLC School Applications

 

Principals should complete applications with the approval of their district superintendent. Applications must be submitted by May 13, 2022.

Completed applications will be scored and ranked to determine schools with the greatest need and where DLCs can have maximum impact. Additional consideration will be given to the location and availability of DLCs. Schools/Districts will be notified by May 27, 2022, if a DLC will be assigned to their school.

2021-22 SY DLC Support Schools

Digital Learning Coach supports for the 2021-22 school year have been awarded to 62 schools.
