School, District Report Cards for 2016-17 Released

NEWS RELEASE

For Immediate Release: February 6, 2018

JACKSON, Miss – Mississippi Report Cards for the 2016-17 school year are now available at the Reports section of the Mississippi Department of Education website. Report cards for each school and district in the state can be found under the tab labeled “NCLB,” which stands for No Child Left Behind.

The Mississippi Report Cards contain the accountability grades and information about school and district performance on statewide assessments, the graduation rate (for high schools and districts) and teacher qualifications. Most of the information contained in the report cards was made public in October 2017 when statewide accountability results for the 2016-17 school year were released.

Mississippi Report Cards for the 2017-18 school year will be redesigned and updated to comply with new requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Districts are strongly encouraged to download their Report Cards and post them to the district and/or school websites for public distribution by March 2, 2018.
