The Office of Infrastructure and Support Services (OISS) provides support for all the offices at the Mississippi Department of Education. We offer the following types of assistance.
OISS offers helpdesk support through our operations group at the Central Office to local remote, and field staff. This group supports desktops, laptops, telephones, tablets, and other mobile devices. In addition, the group assists with presentation setups and installs software.
OISS provides network and technical infrastructure support through maintaining the hardware, software, computer systems, and databases that allow the MDE to gather, process, and share information resources with its stakeholders.
As a part of Infrastructure and Support Services group, the MDE Web Team provides daily support for the following MDE websites.
The Infrastructure and Support Services group also serves as a technical resource for the technology coordinators in the districts.
